American country singer Jelly Roll and podcaster Bunnie Xo have decided to speak out about their recent divorce. The announcement was made during Jelly Roll’s performance at the Saratoga Springs, N.Y., stop of his Little ASS Shed Tour. He addressed rumors circulating online about their separation, emphasizing that they remain close friends despite the divorce. Jelly Roll also clarified that there was no infidelity involved, contradicting a previous statement where he admitted to an affair.

Bunnie Xo, also known as Alisa Deford, shared her perspective on their divorce on her podcast, “Dumb Blonde,” revealing that they aim to finalize the process in a few weeks. Despite the split, they have plans to co-parent as they are expecting a child together through IVF. She recounted a heated argument on Mother’s Day that led to her urging him to file for divorce in a fit of anger, which he eventually did. Bunnie Xo acknowledged that while her initial reaction was fueled by emotions, it prompted them to have necessary conversations.

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, officially filed for divorce on May 18, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple tied the knot in 2016 and renewed their vows in 2023. While they do not share any children together, Jelly Roll has two children from previous relationships. Both parties have been candid about their relationship struggles in the past, with Jelly Roll admitting to an affair in a podcast interview last year, and Bunnie Xo disclosing the breakup in a TikTok post from 2024.
