Unofficial and official election outcomes for municipalities in central and northern Alberta are being progressively disclosed by various regions and towns across the province. Here is a summary of some of the results:
**St. Albert**
As of 1:35 p.m. MT on Wednesday, all polling stations in St. Albert, located northwest of Edmonton, have reported their results. Scott Olivieri was officially elected as mayor, garnering 57.9% of the votes. The voter turnout was 30%, lower than the 35.1% recorded in 2021.
**Red Deer & Red Deer County**
In Red Deer, Cindy Jefferies won the mayoral race with 41% of the votes, while incumbents and new faces secured council seats. Red Deer County also announced its unofficial results early in the night with Brent Ramsay leading the mayoral race.
**Jasper**
Jasper re-elected familiar councillors and welcomed new faces to the council. Mayor Richard Ireland ran unopposed and was acclaimed.
**Hinton**
Brian LaBerge emerged as the new mayor-elect in Hinton, with several new council members joining the team. Unofficial results for the Town of Hinton Recreation Centre Modernization Plebiscite were also revealed.
**Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo**
Incumbent Sandy Bowman won the mayoral race comfortably. Preliminary results for council positions indicated leading candidates in various wards.
