The Canadian Screen Awards week has commenced as the winners of the Children’s Television Awards were revealed during the first of six ceremonies held in Toronto. Below is a compilation of the 16 winners from the event.
– Best supporting performer, children’s or youth category was awarded to Josette Jorge for her role in “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia.”
– The accolade for Best writing in the pre-school genre went to “Toopy and Binoo Fabulous Adventures – Giggling Flufferoos.”
– “Thomas & Friends: The Christmas Letter Express” clinched the title for Best original music in animation.
– Will Arnett secured the Best voice performance award for his role in “Super Team Canada.”
– “Old Enough! – Where’s The Ginger, Please?” was recognized as the Best picture editing in the children’s or youth category.
– Macy Murdoch bagged the Best direction award in the children’s or youth segment for “Tick, Tick, Gone.”
– The Best writing award in the children’s or youth division was presented to “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia – What is Happening to Me?!”
– “Unicorn Academy – Winter Solstice” was honored with the Best sound award in animation.
– “Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum – I am Jackie Robinson” received accolades for Best writing and Best direction in animation.
– The Canada Media Fund kids’ choice award was bestowed upon “Mittens & Pants.”
– “Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood” won the Best pre-school program or series award.
– The Best children’s or youth non-fiction program or series title went to “Old Enough!”
– Asha Soetan claimed the Best lead performer award in the children’s or youth category for “Odd Squad.”
– “Odd Squad” was also recognized as the Best children’s or youth fiction program or series.
– “Super Team Canada” emerged victorious as the Best animated program or series.
