Bell Media has secured a deal with Disney Entertainment to broadcast the Québécois French version of “The Simpsons,” ensuring the continuation of the series. The upcoming season 36 of “Les Simpson” will be shown on Bell’s Noovo television channel in the fall and will also be available for streaming on Crave.
Last year, fans were upset when Corus Entertainment chose not to renew the broadcast rights, forcing French-speaking viewers to watch new episodes in European French. An online petition garnered significant support in favor of preserving the Québécois dubbing, known for incorporating local references and expressions for the past 35 seasons.
The Québécois versions of the show are typically a year behind the American releases, with season 37 of the original series having started in September. Fans can enjoy seasons one to 35 of “The Simpsons” in Québécois French on Disney+.
A celebratory video featuring Bart and Lisa Simpson delivering the news in familiar Québécois French voices was shared on Noovo’s social media platforms, marking the return of the beloved dubbing to local audiences.
