“Mark Carney to Join Star-Studded Lineup at Juno Awards”

Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to join the star-studded guest lineup at the upcoming Juno Awards in Hamilton’s TD Coliseum this Sunday evening. The event will also feature renowned artists like Joni Mitchell, who will be honored with a lifetime achievement award, and Nelly Furtado, who will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

During the ceremony, Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell will pay tribute to Mitchell, while Alessia Cara, Jully Black, Shawn Desman, and Tanya Tagaq will come together for a special performance celebrating Furtado’s musical legacy. Despite leading nominations, notable artists such as Justin Bieber, Tate McRae, and The Weeknd are not expected to attend.

Comedian-turned-musician Mae Martin will host the Juno Awards, which will be broadcast on CBC TV, CBC Gem, and other CBC platforms at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday.
