Microsoft Azure users may face difficulties accessing Office 365, Minecraft, and other services due to cloud service issues, as stated by the tech giant on Wednesday. A notification on its Azure status page confirmed ongoing investigations by the company’s teams into concerns regarding the Azure Front Door service, with assurances of imminent signs of recovery for customers.
While Microsoft has not yet provided official comments in response to inquiries, the company has acknowledged the situation on its webpage and social media platforms. Given the widespread utilization of Microsoft’s cloud service by various websites and services, any disruptions could have far-reaching impacts.
Reports from users highlighted disruptions in Office 365, Minecraft, X-Box Live, Costco, Starbucks mobile apps and websites, Copilot, and other services on Downdetector, a platform monitoring online outages. These incidents coincide with Amazon’s recent cloud computing service outage, which affected numerous online services encompassing social media, gaming, food delivery, streaming, and financial platforms.
The technical issues emerged shortly before Microsoft’s scheduled quarterly earnings report release. Amazon holds a prominent position as a cloud computing service provider, with Microsoft ranking second globally, surpassing Google in most markets.
