The Phillies mounted a comeback attempt in the bottom of the ninth, with Nick Castellanos hitting a two-run double to narrow the gap to 4-3. However, the Dodgers’ defense held strong, with Max Muncy and Mookie Betts combining for a crucial out to secure the win.
The Dodgers will now look to close out the series in Game 3, with RHP Yoshinobu Yamamoto set to take the mound. The Brewers also secured a 2-0 series lead over the Cubs with a 7-3 victory, moving them one step closer to the NL Championship Series.
