“Small Plane Crash Claims Pilot’s Life in Lillooet”

A tragic incident occurred near Lillooet, B.C., as a small plane crash claimed the life of its pilot, as confirmed by local authorities. The Lillooet RCMP received reports of the crash at 5:17 p.m. PT on Wednesday, prompting emergency response teams to rush to the scene where they discovered the unconscious pilot, who was the only person aboard the aircraft, suffering from severe injuries.

Despite immediate medical attention, the pilot succumbed to their injuries on-site, as disclosed by Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, a representative of the B.C. RCMP North District. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) announced on Thursday that they have dispatched a team of investigators to Lillooet to probe the incident involving a privately registered Bushmaster Super 22 aircraft, withholding further details at this time.

Situated approximately 250 kilometers northeast of Vancouver, Lillooet now grapples with the aftermath of this tragic aviation mishap.
