Rush announces additional Canadian tour dates for their highly anticipated reunion. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson reveal that they have expanded next year’s concert tour to include 17 more cities, starting in June and running through the end of the year. Among the new stops are Montreal on September 2, 2026, Edmonton on December 10, and Vancouver on December 15. The Fifty Something tour schedule now includes cities like Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, Atlanta, Seattle, and Tampa, Fla.
The band, based in Toronto, reports that all previously announced dates, including four nights in Toronto, have already sold out. General public ticket sales for the new shows will commence on October 31 after various presales starting on Thursday.
This upcoming tour marks Rush’s return to the road since the R40 tour in 2015 and follows the passing of their drummer, Neil Peart, in 2020 due to an aggressive form of brain cancer. Anika Nilles, a German drummer, will be filling in for Peart during the tour.
In a YouTube video posted on Monday, Lee and Lifeson expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response to the initial dates while cautioning fans about scalpers taking advantage of the high demand by inflating ticket prices. They advised fans to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster or the Rush website to avoid falling prey to resellers.
