“Recall Alert: 104K Oster Toaster Ovens Pose Burn Risk”

Share

Health Canada has announced a recall of 104,195 toaster ovens in Canada due to safety concerns related to potential burns. Consumers have been advised to discontinue the use of Oster’s French door toaster countertop ovens immediately, as there is a risk of the French doors unexpectedly closing and causing burns to users.

The affected models include TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDGDS, TSSTTVFDXLPP-033, and TSSTTVFDDAF-033, with the model number located on the back of the oven and on the original packaging. While no injuries or incidents have been reported in Canada as of September 22, the U.S. has recorded 95 incidents out of over 1.2 million toaster ovens sold.

Health Canada has instructed consumers to reach out to Sunbeam Products Inc. to obtain a complimentary repair kit, which includes installation instructions. The impacted products were sold between January 2015 and July 2025.
