American media personality Kim Kardashian has announced that she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, according to reports from U.S. media outlets. Kardashian shared this news in a teaser for the seventh season of her reality show, “The Kardashians,” which recently debuted on Hulu. In the teaser, she mentioned that doctors discovered a small aneurysm during an MRI scan and suggested that stress might have contributed to the condition, particularly after her divorce from musician Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) in 2022.
Kardashian emphasized her ongoing connection with Ye due to their four children, stating, “My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.” Previously, Kardashian had promoted the benefits of full-body MRI scans, although some medical professionals caution that they may not be necessary for all individuals.
The article did not specify whether Kardashian was experiencing any symptoms related to the aneurysm. Representatives for Kardashian, including her agent, public relations representative, and attorney, did not respond immediately to requests for comment from Reuters.
A brain aneurysm occurs when blood vessels in the brain widen or bulge, potentially leading to a brain bleed or hemorrhagic stroke if they rupture. According to the Mayo Clinic, brain aneurysms are relatively common and are often asymptomatic, especially when they are small. They are typically discovered incidentally during medical evaluations for other conditions.
While stress is not typically identified as a direct cause of brain aneurysms, it can contribute to high blood pressure, which is a known risk factor for the condition, as noted by Johns Hopkins Medicine.
In addition to her role as a lawyer in the Hulu series “All’s Fair,” Kardashian has dedicated the past year to completing her Law Office Study Program as part of her ambition to become a trial lawyer. Earlier this year, she testified in the trial of a group known as the “grandpa robbers,” who were accused of stealing millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry from her at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
