Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made a glamorous appearance together at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Monday night. The renowned pop star and former prime minister were seen happily posing for photos and sharing tender moments as they attended the premiere of Perry’s concert film, “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris.”
Despite their public displays of affection, the pair opted for elegant and understated attire. Perry wore a stunning white halter gown with delicate rose details, while Trudeau looked dashing in a classic black suit paired with a white shirt.
Trudeau couldn’t help but express his admiration for Perry when speaking to reporters. “I saw the show three times, but my focus was solely on Katy each time. I am excited to watch the show now for the first time,” he jokingly remarked.
The relationship between Trudeau, aged 54, and the 41-year-old hitmaker first surfaced in July when they were spotted strolling together in Montreal’s Mount Royal Park with Perry’s dog. This came shortly after Perry and her former fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, announced their separation after a seven-year relationship, during which they had a daughter together.
The couple’s romance became more public in early October when photos emerged of them embracing on Perry’s yacht in Santa Barbara, California. Subsequently, Perry shared images of herself with Trudeau during his visit to Japan, confirming their relationship on social media.
Since then, the pair has been seen together at various events, including a private Netflix screening and the Coachella music festival. Trudeau, who resigned as prime minister in March 2025, was previously married to Sophie Gregoire, with whom he shares three children. They announced their separation in the summer of 2023 after 18 years together.
Trudeau’s eldest son, Xavier, an aspiring musician, revealed on the “Can’t Be Censored” podcast that he often seeks feedback from Perry on his music. “When I’m really happy with a song, I send it to her. She’s always willing to offer advice or suggest improvements,” he shared.
