Meanwhile, Lebanese authorities prevented journalists from accessing the scene of the strike in the Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp near Sidon, where paramedics searched for remains amidst damaged vehicles and debris.
In response to previous attacks, the Israeli military stated that it targeted a Hamas training compound used for planning assaults on Israel. Hamas denied claims that the struck location was its training facility and condemned the attack.
Palestinian factions in Lebanon had begun surrendering their weapons to the Lebanese government earlier in the year. However, tensions persist as the Israeli military vows to continue operations against Hamas, prompting responses from various factions in the region.
