Gellar revealed that Hulu made the decision not to proceed with the project, which was set to feature a new storyline titled “Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale,” with Ryan Kiera Armstrong cast as the next protagonist.
The original series, known for its innovative approach to storytelling and thematic depth, followed a group of young individuals battling supernatural beings in the fictional town of Sunnydale, California.
