For those who prefer a delightful farm setting or purchasing pre-cut trees, there are over 1,000 Christmas tree farms nationwide offering a range of tree species and sizes. Many of these farms provide additional holiday activities like horse-drawn wagon rides, photo opportunities with Santa, and sledding. Pine Meadows Christmas Tree Farm

Chilliwack, B.C.

This family-owned farm in the Fraser Valley has been cultivating fir, pine, and spruce trees for over 50 years. Open daily until Dec. 23, this year all U-cut trees are priced at $80 regardless of size.

Oh Christmas Tree Farm

Langley, B.C.

Now welcoming visitors for the season, this 6.9-hectare family-owned farm, known as the nearest Christmas tree farm to Vancouver, cultivates five types of fir trees: Nordmann, grand, Douglas, Fraser, and noble. Both pre-cut and U-cut trees are available, priced per foot. The farm is pet-friendly and offers a charming photo stand-in for memorable snapshots.

Alouette Christmas Tree Farm

Maple Ridge, B.C.

Opening on Nov. 28, this 2.8-hectare Silver Valley farm offers Fraser, grand, and noble firs for cutting your own, as well as premium pre-cut noble firs. Trees vary from approximately two to three meters in height and are priced based on size and type. Guests can also find handmade wreaths for sale, a firepit, and complimentary apple cider.

Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm

Pakenham, Ont.

This picturesque farm in the Ottawa Valley has been featured in seven Hallmark Christmas movies and continues to be a popular destination. Open daily until Dec. 24, the farm boasts a gift shop, a restaurant, and food vendors during select weekends. Visitors can select from eight varieties of fir, pine, and spruce trees for cutting and browse through wreaths, swags, centrepieces, and planters.

Commencing on Nov. 28, Chickadee Christmas Trees provides four types of U-cut trees, all priced equally. Additionally, individually priced pre-cut trees sourced from other Ontario farms are available.
