Canucks’ Boeser Misses Game vs Capitals for Personal Reasons

Vancouver Canucks’ forward Brock Boeser was absent from the team’s recent match against the Washington Capitals in D.C. due to personal matters. The announcement came from Canucks’ General Manager, Patrik Allvin, who did not specify when Boeser would return to the lineup. In his place, Jonathan Lekkerimaki took to the ice against the Capitals.

Boeser, who has netted three goals in five games for Vancouver this season, notably secured a 3-2 victory over Chicago with a shootout goal in the previous match. The 28-year-old right-winger avoided free agency by signing a new seven-year, $50.75-million US deal with the Canucks in July. Originally drafted 23rd overall by Vancouver in 2015, Boeser has dedicated his entire 559-game NHL career to the Canucks, accumulating an impressive record of 207 goals and 237 assists.
