Canadian fans of BTS are eagerly anticipating the K-pop group’s upcoming world tour, including a two-night performance in Toronto. This tour will mark the group’s first global tour following the completion of their mandatory military service in South Korea. Scheduled for August 22 and 23 at Rogers Stadium, these concerts will also signify BTS’s return to Canada after their last shows in 2018.
The recent announcement of the tour brought much excitement to Sokvin and Jordan Vann, a mother-son duo, who expressed their joy on CBC Radio’s Metro Morning. The Vanns had tickets to the group’s canceled 2020 concert due to the pandemic, but now feel renewed hope with BTS’s return post-military service. They are the founders of the BTS Army Toronto fan club.
Sokvin shared how BTS has been a source of comfort for her, helping her cope with personal loss and embrace her Asian heritage. Jin, the oldest member of BTS, recently completed his 18-month mandatory military service in South Korea, becoming the first BTS member to fulfill this obligation.
