Soccer sensation Delaney Baie (DB) Pridham has clinched the title of Player of the Year in the Northern Super League, adding another prestigious accolade to her collection. The Ottawa Rapid striker has also secured the title of Forward of the Year in the new league, claiming the coveted golden boot award for netting the most goals, a remarkable total of 18.
Pridham, a dual citizen of Canada and the United States hailing from northern California, showcased her dominance in the NSL by leading in both total shots taken (83) and shots on target (42). In a momentous achievement, she made history by scoring the league’s inaugural hat-trick in June.
Additionally, Ottawa’s Jyllissa Harris recently received recognition as the NSL’s Defender of the Year. Alongside Harris, two other Rapid players, defender Olivia Scott and midfielder Min A Lee, were also honored with spots in the league’s esteemed “Team of the Year.”
The Ottawa Rapid concluded the season as runners-up in the competitive six-team league, securing 11 victories, eight defeats, and six draws, amassing a total of 39 points from 25 matches. Their next challenge awaits as they gear up to face the Vancouver Rise in a crucial home-and-away semifinal showdown next week.
