The banter between Toronto and Seattle went beyond baseball on Saturday as Seattle’s hockey team playfully teased Toronto Blue Jays supporters. The Seattle Kraken showed up at Scotiabank Arena donning Seattle Mariners jerseys in a nod of support to the city’s baseball team ahead of Game 6 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) against the Jays.

Taking the friendly rivalry to social media, the Kraken posted messages like “walk in the 6ix, takeover the 6ix” and “SEATTLE OVER EVERYBODY.” The team’s playful antics continued as they triumphed over the Maple Leafs 4-3 on the ice.

Following a strong offensive performance in Game 5, the Mariners now lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 after securing a 6-2 win over the Blue Jays. The Jays are set to face Seattle once again on Sunday night in a crucial Game 6 at Rogers Centre.
