Actor Josh Hartnett was recently involved in a car accident in St. John’s, N.L. The incident occurred when the SUV he was traveling in collided with a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) patrol vehicle. Hartnett, who was in the city filming a Netflix show, was on his way home from the set when the accident happened. The RNC confirmed the collision, which took place at the intersection of New Cove Road and Elizabeth Avenue around 1 a.m. Both Hartnett and another passenger in the car, a 59-year-old man, were taken to the hospital for what was thought to be minor injuries. The police officer involved also sought medical attention as a precaution. Authorities are now seeking witnesses and any footage of the crash to aid in their investigation. Hartnett is currently part of the cast of an upcoming Netflix series set in Newfoundland, where he stars alongside Charlie Heaton from “Stranger Things” and Mackenzie Davis from “Speak No Evil.”
